Utilities File Adopted Increases To POR Discount Rates

Pepco and Delmarva have filed with the Maryland PSC compliance filings showing the final updated purchase of receivables (POR) discount rates

As exclusively reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com (see story here), the PSC recently adjudicated several issues which arose during the annual update to the POR discount rates, and because one the PSC's adopted changes at Delmarva was based on discussion during an administrative meeting and not an option that had been previously filed, the precise POR discount resulting from the PSC's order was not known until the compliance filings.

At Pepco, the new residential POR discount rate is 0.6879%, versus the current 0.6339%. The updated Pepco POR discounts for Type I, Type II and Hourly customers are 0%.

At Delmarva, the new residential POR discount rate is 2.0821%, versus the current 1.7078%. The updated Delmarva POR discounts for Type I, Type II and Hourly customers are 0%.

All of the new POR discount rates are to be effective December 15, 2018
