AEP Texas Files Higher Amounts For Merger Credits Provided To Retail Electric Providers

AEP Texas has filed updated amounts for Rider Merger Savings Credit, which is to provide a one-month credit to retail electric providers, to be effective with the first billing cycle in September 2019.

The AEP Texas merger savings credit is intended to refund savings for its central division and north division related to lower debt issuance savings achieved from the AEP Texas merger approved in Docket No. 46050 – Application of AEP Texas Central Company, AEP Texas North Company, and AEP Utilities, Inc. for Approval of Merger. The September 2019 credits reflect a cumulative credit of approximately $2.4 million

Under AEP Texas' filing, the following credit amounts, which are higher than the amounts provided in September 2018, would be provided in September 2019:
