PSNH Residential, Small Commercial Default Service Rate Will Increase 6% On January 1

The New Hampshire PUC has approved new default service (energy service) rates at Public Service Company of New Hampshire (PSNH) for the six-month period beginning February 1, 2019

For the Small Customer Group (residential and small commercial), the PSNH default service rate will increase to 9.985 cents per kWh on February 1, 2019, and will be fixed for six months. The new Small Customer Group default service rate is 6% higher than the current rate of 9.412 cents per kWh to 9.985 cents per kWh

The Small Customer Group reflects a base energy rate of 9.612 cents per kWh plus the RPS adder of 0.275 cents per kWh and the recovery factor for administrative and general expense to be 0.098 cents per kWh.

For the Large Customer Group, the default service rates are as follows:

Exelon Generation Company, LLC was selected to serve 50% of the default service requirements for the Small Customer Group and 100% of the requirements for the Large Customer Group for the period

NextEra Energy Marketing, LLC was selected to serve 50% of the default service requirements for the Small Customer Group for the period
