CenterPoint-TDU Files To Decrease Rider Applicable To Retail Electric Providers

CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric has filed at the Public Utility Commission of Texas to reduce the amounts charged to retail electric providers under Rider NDC - Nuclear Decommissioning Charges
The reduction results from a recent PUCT order reducing the annual nuclear decommissioning funding amount for NRG's 30.8% ownership interest in STP Units 1 and 2 (the "30.8% Trust") from $570,704 to $197,708.
The reduced Rider NDC charges at CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric are proposed to be effective February 15, 2019.
The proposed updates to Rider NDC are below. For Secondary >10 kVA and Primary classes, the amount is per billing kVA
