Texas Retail Provider Seeks To Be Relieved Of POLR Obligation
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by EC Infosystems, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
VEH LLC filed at the Texas PUC to be relieved of its obligation to serve as a Provider of Last Resort, stating that it no longer meets the eligibility requirements to provide POLR service after a recent sale of its book
In its filing, VEH stated, "VEH LLC ('VEH') was designated by the Public Utility Commission of Texas ('PUCT') as a Provider of Last Resort ('POLR') for the residential class of service in the CenterPoint service area in Project 48075. VEH has nearly completed transferring its customers pursuant to an acquisition and currently serves less than 10 remaining customers which VEH anticipates will be transferred by January 25, 2019. VEH is not actively marketing to new customers and no longer meets the eligibility requirements to provide POLR service. Therefore, VEH requests the PUCT to relieve VEH of its requirement to provide POLR service."
As was exclusively first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, VEH sold its customers and certain brand assets to NRG Energy
