Source Power & Gas LLC was designated by the Public Utility Commission of Texas as a non-volunteer Provider of Last Resort (POLR) for the medium and large non-residential class of
service in the AEP Central, CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, Oncor, and TNMP service areas in Project Number 48075 for the 2019-2020 term.
Source Power & Gas stated that, "Source is in the process of transferring its customers pursuant to an acquisition and intends to no longer serve any customers on or around February 1, 2019. Source is not actively marketing to customers and no longer meets the eligibility requirements to provide POLR service."
Source Power & Gas previously announced the sale of its retail electricity business to Direct Energy (see story here). The transaction closed December 31, 2018.
