Update: PUC Accepts Results From Auction To Select Retail Supplier To Serve To Serve 100% Of Certain Low-Income Customer Load

Update: The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) accepted the auction results described below. While no further specific information was publicly released at this time (as such information will only be released once PIPP auctions are conducted at all the EDCs), PUCO's order did describe that there was a, "winning bidder and winning bid price." (singular)

An RFP for a retail supplier to serve 100% of the Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP) customer load at the FirstEnergy Ohio utilities for the term June 1, 2019 to May 31, 2020 resulted in at least one conforming bid, according to an auction report
The auction, subject to approval of the results by PUCO, would award to a retail supplier or suppliers 100% of PIPP customer load for such term
PUCO is to consider results of the auction today
A benchmark price of $47.98 per MWh had been established in the auction.
