Aggressive Energy Receives License In New State

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio granted Aggressive Energy LLC an electric supplier license to serve commercial, mercantile, and industrial customers at Cleveland Electric Illuminating and AEP Ohio

FirstEnergy Solutions' Retail Supplier License Relinquished In D.C.

The District of Columbia PSC has issued an order granting FirstEnergy Solutions, Corp.'s request to surrender its electric supplier license. FES in filings stated that it has never provided any services to any customers, past or present, in the District. Still, while the original request to surrender the license was expected given a prior (since terminated) agreement for Constellation to acquire FES's retail business, FES's decision to retain the retail business (see story here) does make the relinquishment more notable, even though FES has not historically served customers in the District

Transparent Energy Receives Texas Aggregator Certificate

The Public Utility Commission of Texas granted Transparent Energy LLC d/b/a Transparent Electricity Quotes LLC an electric aggregator certificate to serve residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Transparent Energy has previously engaged in brokering in the Texas electric market.
