As previously reported, the PSC ordered that ESCOs may no longer serve assistance program participant customers. The PSC had ordered that non-term customers were to be returned to default service within 30 days of the ESCOs receiving APP customer lists in late 2017. Furthermore, while ESCOs could continue serving APP customers with fixed or similar term contracts until such contract expiration, such customers would eventually be returned to default service over time as such contracts roll off.
