Residential POR Discount At National Grid To Increase 50% To Over 2.5%

Commercial Discount Falls 20%

National Grid in Massachusetts has filed new proposed purchase of receivables discount rates (standard complete billing percentages) to be effective May 1, 2019.

The residential POR discount rate would spike 50% to 2.58%, from 1.72%

The rates remain subject to DPU approval.

The proposed May 1, 2019 National Grid Massachusetts POR discounts are:

              Residential  Commercial  Industrial
Uncollectible    2.32%       0.75%       0.06%
Admin Cost       0.00%       0.00%       0.00%
Reconciliation   0.26%      -0.07%      -0.01%
Total            2.58%       0.68%       0.05%

For comparison, National Grid's current POR discounts are:

Uncollectible    2.00%       0.81%       0.06%
Admin Cost       0.00%       0.00%       0.00%
Reconciliation  -0.28%       0.02%      -0.02%
Total            1.72%       0.83%       0.04%
