PUCO Extends FirstEnergy Solutions Existing Retail Supplier Certificate

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio extended the expiration date of FirstEnergy Solutions Corp.'s retail electric supplier certificate until October 28, 2019. The certificate had originally been scheduled to expire November 2, 2018, but the certificate was previously extended until May 1, 2019. FES had asked for the extensions, rather than initiating the typical renewal process, stating that such extensions would provide time for additional clarity concerning FES's bankruptcy proceeding.
