The following story is brought free of charge to readers by EC Infosystems, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com

Duquesne Light has filed tariff revisions to implement the previously adopted lowering of the threshold for hourly priced default service, from 300 kW to 200 kW, effective June 1, 2019

Default service customers with monthly metered demands between 200 kW and 300 kW will therefore transition from being served as Medium C&I customers, who receive a fixed price default service rate (which changes every three months), to being served as Large CI customers, who receive hourly priced default service

The lower cutoff was adopted by the PUC in 2016, as was exclusively reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com
