Public Power, LLC and Viridian Energy, LLC (collectively, the "Companies"), in response to a previously filed motion for clarification from Connecticut Light and Power Company d/b/a Eversource related to a bill insert explaining the Supplier Summary Information included on bills, have asked that PURA expeditiously rule on CL&P's motion, or alternatively provide suppliers with more time to comply with a directive to provide the insert to customers as part of suppliers' welcome packages

PURA previously directed that the EDCs develop a letter and bill insert that will be directly mailed to their e-bill customers.

Under Order No. 13, retail suppliers are required to include this letter and bill insert in their welcome packages beginning May 1, 2019.

Eversource on April 2 filed a motion seeking clarification and requesting final approval of its letter and bill insert by April 15, 2019.

"However, the Companies require more than two weeks to receive, print, and integrate these materials into their welcome package distribution processes. In fact, in order for the Companies to have sufficient time to meet the current Order No. 13 compliance deadline, they will need the approved letters and bill inserts from both EDCs1 by the end of the day on Friday, April 5, 2019," the retail supply companies said

"Thus, Public Power requests that the Authority issue a ruling on Eversource’s motion as soon as possible and require that the EDCs provide copies of the letters and bill inserts to be included in supplier welcome packages by 12:00 pm EDT on Friday so that the Companies have sufficient time to comply with Order No. 13," the retail supply companies said

"Alternatively, the Companies request that, when the Authority issues a ruling on Eversource’s motion, it grant suppliers an extension of time of four weeks from the date that they receive the letters and bill inserts from the EDCs to be included in their welcome packages to comply with Order No. 13," the retail supply companies said
