Massachusetts Residential, Small C&I Default Service Rate To Fall 23%

Fitchburg Gas and Electric Light Company d/b/a Unitil has filed with the Massachusetts DPU electric basic service rates for the period beginning June 1, 2019.
The fixed basic service charge for residential customers (RD-1, RD-2) and Small General (GD-1) commercial customers is $0.09980/kWh for the period June 2019 to November 2019. That's about 23% lower than the current rate of $0.12915/kWh
Additional rates are below; the rates remain subject to DPU approval. All listed rates include the current Basic Service Costs Adder of $0.00381/kWh, effective December 1, 2018.
