New Hampshire Default Service Rate To Fall 34%

Unitil Energy Systems, Inc. has filed with the New Hampshire PUC new electric default service rates for the period beginning June 1, 2019.

Unitil's residential fixed default service rate, including the RPS adder, will be 7.714 cents per kWh for the six-month period beginning June 1, 2019. That's 34% lower than the current rate of 11.689 cents per kWh.

Unitil's residential default service rate under the monthly variable option will be as follows (all rates include RPS adder):

For small commercial customers (G2 and OL Class), Unitil's residential fixed default service rate, including the RPS adder, will be 6.872 cents per kWh for the six-month period beginning June 1, 2019. That's 35% lower than the current rate of 10.598 cents per kWh.

The winner of the six-month small customer (Non-G1) default service requirement was Exelon Generation Company, LLC

The winner of the six-month medium customer (Non-G1) default service requirement was Nextera Energy Marketing, LLC

UES awarded the six-month large customer (G1) default service requirement to Dynegy Marketing and Trade, LLC.
