New York Municipal Aggregation Serving 21 Communities Selects Retail Supplier, Sets Rates

The Municipal Electric and Gas Alliance (MEGA) has selected Constellation to supply its Southern Tier opt-out electricity aggregation covering 21 municipalities in New York

For customers served by NYSEG, the MEGA aggregation will offer a "fully fixed" price of $0.05092/kWh for traditional electricity (grid mix) for 24 months, or 100% renewable electricity at a fully fixed price of $0.05420/kWh for 24 months.

This MEGA service area includes the City of Elmira, NY

Over one-third of participating municipalities have chosen 100% renewable electricity as their default.

For customers served by National Grid, the MEGA aggregation will offer a fully fixed price of $0.05435/kWh for 100% renewable electricity at a fully fixed price for 36 months.

The CCA prices and terms for participating NYSEG and National Grid customers will begin in July 2019.
