Gexa Energy has launched a new Texas residential electricity plan (Free 3 Day Weekends) that provides free electricity from 12 a.m. Friday to 12 a.m. Monday

In the Oncor service area, Gexa's Free 3 Day Weekends 12 plan is a 12-month fixed plan with an average all-in rate, at 1,000 kWh usage, of 12.6¢ per kWh. This reflects an energy charge of 16.62¢/kWh during the non-free periods, applicable TDU charges during the non-free periods (passed through with no mark-up), and a base charge of $9.95 per billing cycle. There are no energy or TDU charges for usage from 12 a.m. Friday to 12 a.m. Monday

A $150 early termination fee applies

Gexa Energy has also launched a new Texas residential electricity plan (Free Mornings & Nights) that provides 12 hours of free electricity every day (8:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m.)

This reflects an energy charge of 16.98¢/kWh during the non-free periods, applicable TDU charges during the non-free periods (passed through with no mark-up), and a base charge of $9.95 per billing cycle. There are no energy or TDU charges for usage from 8:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. every day
