The FirstEnergy Pennsylvania utilities have filed new tariffed residential and commercial PTCDefault rates with the PUC for the three-month period starting June 1, 2019

The PTCDefault rates are the all-in default service rates without the application of the State Tax Adjustment Surcharge (essentially, the PTC prior to application of the STAS), which is currently 0%. PA Power Switch is listing the PTCDefault rates listed below as the actual Price to Compare for the period beginning June 1. The utilities have not yet posted PTCs; the tariff filings with the new rates have not yet been approved by the PUC as of publication time

At Met-Ed, the tariffed residential PTCDefault rate will be 5.540¢/kWh effective June 1, an 11% decrease versus the current 6.241¢/kWh

At Penelec, the tariffed residential PTCDefault rate will be 5.668¢/kWh effective June 1, a decrease 1% versus the current 5.747¢/kWh

At Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTCDefault rate will be 6.256¢/kWh effective June 1, a 2% decrease versus the current 6.414¢/kWh

At West Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTCDefault rate will be 5.517¢/kWh effective June 1, a 9% decrease versus the current 6.092¢/kWh

At Met-Ed, the tariffed commercial PTCDefault rate will be 5.352¢/kWh effective June 1, a 17% decrease versus the current 6.483¢/kWh

At Penelec, the tariffed commercial PTCDefault rate will be 5.465¢/kWh effective June 1, a 17% decrease from the current 6.571¢/kWh

At Penn Power, the commercial PTCDefault rate will be 6.949¢/kWh effective June 1, a 14% decrease versus the current 8.066¢/kWh

At West Penn Power, the commercial PTCDefault rate will be 5.535¢/kWh effective June 1, a 13% decrease versus the current 6.344¢/kWh

The new PTCs are to be in effect for the period June 1, 2019 to August 31, 2019
