Pepco Residential SOS Generation Rate To Increase 20% In October

Pepco has filed with the Maryland PSC new residential and Type I SOS rates for the period beginning October 1, 2019

The new October 1, 2019 residential Generation Service Charge rate is 20% higher than the June 1, 2019 GSC rate.

Specifically, the new October 1, 2019 Schedule R Generation Service Charge is 6.714 cents per kWh, versus the June 1, 2019 Schedule R Generation Service Charge of 5.575 cents per kWh.

Versus the 2018-2019 winter rate, the October 1, 2019 Schedule R Generation Service Charge is about 3% lower than the year-ago season's rate.

The new October 1, 2019 Schedule GS Type I Generation Service Charge is 6.124 cents per kWh, which is 6% higher than the June 1, 2019 Schedule GS Type I Generation Service Charge of 5.761 cents per kWh.

Versus the 2018-2019 winter rate, the October 1, 2019 Schedule GS Type I Generation Service Charge is about 7% lower than the year-ago season's rate.

The Pepco-MD rates below, in $ per kWh, reflect only the generation component of SOS, and do not include transmission or reconciliation (Procurement Cost Adjustment).
