Nstar East Residential, Small Commercial Default Service Rates Falling 20%

Nstar has filed with the Massachusetts DPU new electric basic service rates for its Eastern Massachusetts service territory for the period beginning July 1, 2019.

The new fixed residential basic service rate of 10.836¢/kWh is about 20% lower than the current fixed residential basic service rate of 13.588¢/kWh

The new fixed small C&I basic service rate of 10.569¢/kWh is about 20% lower than the current fixed small C&I basic service rate of 13.185¢/kWh

All rates in this story include the Basic Service Adders and Renewable Portfolio Standard, Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard and Clean Energy Standard Adders

Dynegy Marketing and Trade, LLC was selected to serve Nstar East industrial basic service load in the SEMA zone for the three-month period beginning July 1, 2019, as well as a portion of residential load in the SEMA zone for the period beginning July 1, 2019

Exelon Generation Company, LLC was selected to serve a portion of Nstar East industrial basic service load in the NEMA zone for the three-month period beginning July 1, 2019, as well as a portion of residential and commercial load in the SEMA zone for the periods beginning July 1, 2019 and January 1, 2020.

NextEra Energy Marketing, LLC was selected to serve a portion of Nstar East industrial basic service load in the NEMA zone for the three-month period beginning July 1, 2019, as well as a portion of residential and commercial load in the NEMA zone for the periods beginning July 1, 2019 and January 1, 2020.
