Sycamore Insurance Agency, Inc., a unit of Conifer Holdings, Inc., applied for an electric broker/marketer license in Pennsylvania to serve large commercial (over 25 kW) and industrial customers in all service areas.
Sycamore is an insurance agency with commercial insurance policyholders in Pennsylvania
Sycamore in its application stated, "Applicant proposes to provide electric and or gas purchasing options to clients currently doing business with applicant and/or applicant’s affiliated insurance companies. The Applicant intends to provide an additional risk mitigation option including reducing the cost of policyholders power costs for twelve, twenty-four and/or thirty-six month terms."
Sycamore Insurance Agency said in its application that it, "will be working closely with Constellation, An [sic] Exelon Company which, will be assisting us with the service offers and placement with our current customer base."
"Other than Applicant’s current insureds, Applicant does not intend on soliciting new business exclusively to supply electric services," Sycamore said
