The District of Columbia PSC will hold the third Standard Offer Service Working Group meeting on Thursday, July 11, 2019.

In accordance with previously reported Commission directives, the SOS Working Group will continue to address the requirements for a draft request for proposals for long-term renewable energy purchase power agreements for electricity generated by solar or wind power facilities located within the PJM Interconnection region to provide a target quantity of five (5) percent of the SOS load and related matters.

As exclusively first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com (see full details here), the PSC has ordered that 5% of SOS be sourced from long-term PPAs, which will not be load following contracts, effective June 1, 2023
