Texas Retail Electric Provider Says Aggregator's Name Will "Mislead" Customers, Files Objection

Just Energy Texas, LP d/b/a Just Energy filed an objection at the Texas PUC to the application of Just One Energy, LLC for an electric aggregator certificate, as Just Energy Texas, LP alleged that Just One Energy, LLC's name would "mislead" customers

"Just One Energy, LLC's name is very close to Just Energy's name, yet it is not affiliated with Just Energy," Just Energy said

An Aggregator using the name 'Just One Energy" will mislead and confuse Texas consumers and Just Energy's current customers and improperly leverage the good will of Just Energy established by its long-term use of the Commission-approved name in the Texas retail electric market. The similar name also adversely affects Just Energy's name and brand because it puts Just Energy's reputation at risk," Just Energy said
