The following story is brought free of charge to readers by EC Infosystems, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com

Pursuant to paragraph (2) of ERCOT Protocol Section 3.10.7.2.1, Reporting of Demand Response, ERCOT has requested via a market notice that Retail Electric Providers (REPs) analyze their retail dynamic pricing and demand response-related products and sort each Electric Service Identifier (ESI ID) enrolled in the products into one of the categories described in the NOIE-REP Demand Response Data Collection Technical Specifications for 2019, on the Demand Response page of ERCOT's website

ERCOT will perform statistical analysis on the collected data to quantify retail Demand response and track trends.

For the 2019 reporting year, ERCOT has developed a reporting threshold that will only require REPs that meet that threshold to report their retail dynamic pricing and demand response products to ERCOT. ERCOT has posted a notification on the Market Information System (MIS) -- under the "Services - Ad Hoc Information and Invoices - Requested Information" tab -- for each REP notifying them as to whether or not they have a 2019 reporting requirement. REPs that are unable to retrieve their notification should contact their ERCOT Account Manager.

Each REP that is notified it has a demand response reporting requirement for 2019 is requested to send an email to ERCOT, to a specific email address listed in a market notice, by August 15, 2019, acknowledging that it received the notification. In addition, REPs with a reporting requirement that do not have customers participating in programs that correspond to the categories in the NOIE-REP Demand Response Data Collection Technical Specifications for 2019 document must e-mail ERCOT, to a specific address listed in a market notice, noting the absence of such participation.

All information necessary to fulfill the demand response data collection participation requirement for the 2019 report year can be found in the NOIE/REP Demand Response Data Collection Technical Specifications for 2019 document on the Demand Response page of ERCOT's website.

REPs must create a file with their responses based upon the snapshot sent to them by ERCOT on September 30, 2019, and must submit their responses to ERCOT as a Comma Separated Values (CSV) file via NAESB EDM or as email attachments by October 31, 2019.

Information provided as requested will be treated as Protected Information in accordance with Section 1.3, Confidentiality, of the ERCOT Protocols.
