New York Utilities Receive Extension For Green Button Connect Terms, Conditions, Due To Ongoing Data Security Proceeding

The Secretary of the New York PSC granted the joint utilities an extension until October 14, 2019 to develop Green Button Connect (GBC) terms and conditions, including terms governing third party access
The utilities said that, during the course of collaborative meetings to develop the Green Button Connect terms and conditions, "it became clear that the development of GBC terms and conditions is integrally dependent on the Commission’s consideration of the Data Security Agreement ('DSA') filed by the Joint Utilities on February 4, 2019 in the Commission’s Cyber Security Proceeding."
"Indeed, much of the discussion in [GBC] collaborative discussions hinged on the provisions contained in the DSA. Comments on the DSA were submitted in the Cyber Security Proceeding by several interested parties in April, 2019, and the Joint Utilities submitted reply comments on May 17, 2019," the utilities noted
"Given the fact that the issues before the Commission in the Cyber Security Proceeding are so integral to the development of certain GBC terms and conditions," and the Cyber Security Proceeding remains pending, the utilities had requested the GBC extension
