CEO Departs Energy Services Company/Broker, New CEO Named; Retail Energy Vet Joins Board

Zenergy Brands, Inc. reported that, on August 25, 2019, Alex Rodriguez, the then President, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and member of the Board of Directors of Zenergy Brands, Inc. (the 'Company'), provided notice of his resignation from all officer and director positions with the Company effective on August 25, 2019.

Zenergy said in an 8-K that, "The resignation was not in connection with a disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices."

Zenergy offers conservation, efficiency, infrastructure and smart control technologies as a service. Zenergy also previously described energy broker NAUP Brokerage, LLC as a subsidiary of the Company.

Effective on August 30, 2019, the Zenergy Board of Directors appointed Joshua Campbell as the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of the Company to fill the vacancies left by Mr. Rodriguez’s resignation.

Campbell has served as Senior Vice President of Operations and Senior Vice President of Administration & Planning at Zenergy. Previously, Campbell served as Director of Network Services at Stream Energy. Campbell also previously worked in operations and business process engineering at US First Energy, an energy brokerage

Zenergy also appointed Ryan Samuel as a member of the Board of Directors, to fill the vacancy left by Mr. Rodriguez’s resignation.

Samuel has served as Vice President of Operations (a non-executive position) of the Company since June 2016. Since June 2016, Samuel has also served as Vice President of Operations of North American Utility Partners (NAUP). Samuel also previously served as Regional Vice President of Incite Energy, LLC (formerly River Oaks Energy), Director of Sales for E-Services, Inc., and Channel Sales Manager for Cirro Energy
