The following story is brought free of charge to readers by EC Infosystems, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com

National Grid has filed with the Massachusetts DPU basic service rates for the period November 1, 2019 through April 30, 2020 for the residential and commercial customer groups and the period November 1, 2019 through January 31, 2020 for the industrial customer group

All proposed base fixed and variable basic service rates in this story include the recovery of estimated Generation Information System Costs. The rates, except where noted with a star (*) do not include the currently effective bypassable Basic Service Administrative Cost Adjustment Factors (BSACFs) and the currently effective bypassable Smart Grid Customer Cost Adjustment Factors (SGCCAFs). As part of its pending general rate case in D.P.U. 18-150, National Grid has a proposal to revise the BSACFs and SGCCAFs effective November 1, 2019

Excluding the BSACFs and SGCCAFs, National Grid's residential fixed price basic service rates will increase 30% on November 1, from 10.407 cents per kWh to 13.596 cents per kWh

Excluding the BSACFs and SGCCAFs, National Grid's commercial fixed price basic service rates will increase 26% on November 1, from 9.469 cents per kWh to 12.007 cents per kWh

National Grid's complete rates are below, shown without the application of either the current or pending BSACFs/SGCCFs, except where noted with a (*).

The rates remain subject to DPU approval
