Ameren Files New Retail Purchased Electricity Charges (Default Service Rates)

Ameren has filed with the Illinois Commerce Commission new Retail Purchased Electricity Charges (electric supply rates) for the period October 2019 to May 2020
The new Retail Purchased Electricity Charges reflect the results from the fall 2019 block energy procurement event (see results here)
Generally, the new Retail Purchased Electricity Charges represent a decrease from the prior indicative October 2019 to May 2020 Retail Purchased Electricity Charges of about 1 mill per kWh or less
The Retail Purchased Electricity Charges are the largest component of the Price to Compare (PTC). The PTC also includes the Supply Cost Adjustments and a bypassable transmission rate. A bypassable Purchased Electricity Adjustment is not included in the PTC.
The Retail Purchased Electricity Charges listed below do not include the Supply Cost Adjustments
For Ameren residential customers (BGS-1) the new October 1, 2019 Retail Purchased Electricity Charge is 3.485 cents per kWh for usage 0-800 kWh, and 3.246 cents per kWh for usage above 800 kWh
The October 1, 2019 Ameren BGS-2 Retail Purchased Electricity Charge, for secondary voltage, is 4.214 cents per kWh
