Retail Supplier Exiting Market To Drop Any Remaining Customers, That Have Not Been Sold Or Switched Away, To Default Service

LifeEnergy, LLC said that it would drop certain of its Ohio customers to default service if such customers take no action in response to a letter notifying them LifeEnergy is ceasing to serve customers
As exclusively first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, LifeEnergy sold a book of its customers to NRG Energy
In a filing with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio to relinquish its electric supplier license, LifeEnergy said, "LifeEnergy is ceasing operations because it entered into as [sic] asset sale of its customer
contracts with NRG Retail, Inc. on June 7, 2019 and no longer intends to engage in
the retail electricity business in any jurisdiction. Currently, LifeEnergy is servicing
only 84 customers in Ohio because all other customers have switched away to
another third party provider or were transferred successfully to the buyer, NRG
Retail, Inc."
Through mailed notices and other communications, "Customers will be encouraged to switch voluntarily to another third party supplier
during the next 90 days. If, at the end of the 90 day notice, any customer has failed
to switch to a third party provider or the default provider, then LifeEnergy will drop
the customer to the default provider at that time," LifeEnergy said in its filing
LifeEnergy, LLC intends to abandon service in each of the Ohio EDU Service Territories
and for all customer classes by December 31, 2019
