Retail Supplier Exiting Market Paying Customers $10 To Switch To Alternative Provider

LifeEnergy, LLC, which as exclusively first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com is exiting the retail electric supply business, is providing remaining customers with a $10 gift card for switching away from the company by a deadline
As exclusively first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com in July, LifeEnergy sold a book of customers to NRG Energy
However, as previously reported, LifeEnergy continues to serve a small number of retail electric customers, which LifeEnergy intends to return to default service if customers have not taken action to select another supplier in response to various notices from the company concerning its exit.
In an October 8 filing with the Pennsylvania PUC, LifeEnergy said, "As of the date hereof, LifeEnergy continues to serve approximately 300 customers."
LifeEnergy said in the filing that, "On September 27, 2019, LifeEnergy sent written notices to all remaining customers
informing them that LifeEnergy will be ceasing further service as of December 31, 2019
and that, if the customer had not switched to another third-party provider or the default provider by that date, then the customer’s account would be dropped thereafter to the
customer’s default provider."
LifeEnergy further said in the filing that, "On October 7, 2019, LifeEnergy sent an email to all remaining PJM customers, including
Pennsylvania customers, which [sic] email offered to provide customers a $10 Amazon Gift
Card if the customers initiated a switch by October 11, 2019."
LifeEnergy further said in the filing that, "On October 7th and 8th, LifeEnergy communicated the same offer via a voice broadcast."
On October 7, 2019, LifeEnergy sent an email to all remaining PJM customers, including
Pennsylvania customers, which email offered to provide customers a $10 Amazon Gift
Card if the customers initiated a switch by October 11,2019.
