SmartestEnergy, U.K. Retail Supplier Newly Entering U.S., Receives License In New State

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio granted SmartestEnergy US LLC an electric supplier license to serve all customer classes in all service areas
SmartestEnergy US LLC's plans to enter the U.S. retail energy markets had been exclusively first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com in April. In the U.K., SmartestEnergy affiliates offer retail electricity supply to businesses as well as wholesale procurement and trading services. It also offers demand response, peak load management, and electricity storage. SmartestEnergy also offers various services to generators including asset optimization. In the U.K., SmartestEnergy supplies 8 TWh to over 2,500 C&I customers across 11,000 sites
