"FirstEnergy Home" E-commerce Venture To Offer Internet, Voice, Video, Other Subscription Services

FirstEnergy Corp.'s previously reported e-commerce venture FirstEnergy Home is expanding into additional services
FirstEnergy Home, "is designed to offer residential customers a range of subscription and recurring services, including whole home protection, smart home products and internet, voice and video services," said Rick Charles, Systems Manager for FirstEnergy Products.
FirstEnergy Home's website states, "For over 100 years, FirstEnergy has provided safe and reliable electricity to power our communities. At FirstEnergy Home, we want to make life easier for our customers with products and services designed to simplify the way you live. We aim to make lives brighter in new and exciting ways."
In addition to the previously reported electrical surge coverage from HomeServe and various other home warranty and plumbing plans, FirstEnergy Home offers to connect customers to various services, including high-speed internet, television, phone, and monitored home security
FirstEnergy Home's website also includes home energy management products, including smart thermostats, interior (smart) lighting and controls, and outdoor lighting.
Various services included under security include Smoke & Heat Detector, Carbon Monoxide Sensor, Glass Break Sensor, Video Camera, Smart LED Bulbs, and Door & Window Sensors
As first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, FirstEnergy Corp. recently released a strategy plan which sets forth a vision to provide customers, "with more than electricity, including new products and services that make their lives easier, brighter and more secure"
