Final PECO Residential, Small C&I Price To Compare For December 1 Posted With Updated Transmission Rate, Rates Decreasing

PECO has filed with the Pennsylvania PUC updated bypassable transmission rates to be effective December 1, 2019

The updated transmission rates were needed to be established prior to a final December 1, 2019 Price to Compare being set

As previously reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, PECO earlier filed new Generation Supply Adjustment (GSA) charges for the period beginning December 1, 2019, which reflect the largest component of the price to compare. See the new GSAs in our prior story

With the new transmission rate and GSA, the residential (R, RH) PECO Price to Compare effective December 1, 2019 will be 6.737 cents per kWh, versus the current 6.832 cents per kWh

For business customers, PECO's transmission rates as filed in the tariff are presented on a billed per kW basis. PECO has not yet updated its Price to Compare information in its website to reflect the translation of these rates into kWh rates for new business Prices to Compare. The new transmission rates remains subject to PUC approval

However, PA Power Switch is listing the December 1 "actual" Price to Compare for Rate GS (under 100 kW) customers as 6.4460 cents per kWh, which would include the updated transmission rate. This current Rate GS (under 100 kW) PTC is 6.481 cents per kWh.
