PSC Seeks To "Reform" SOS Bypassable Reconciliation Methodology

The District of Columbia PSC will hold a further technical conference on the Procurement Cost Adjustment ('PCA') for Pepco Standard Offer Service ('SOS').

The PCA is a bypassable adjustment made in order to true-up the rates that customers are billed to reflect Pepco's actual costs of providing SOS. See background on the PSC's review of the PCA here

The PSC said that at the technical conference, it seeks to, "get consensus on how to reform the PCA methodology and calculations, including what methodology to employ to eliminate the deferred balance in the PCA, total impact of switching from monthly PCA to annual PCA, estimated customer impact, and planned next steps."

The technical conference will be held November 25, 2019
