Bulb US LLC applied for an amendment to its Texas retail electric provider certificate to, among other things, receive authorization to have the option of collecting deposits or advance payments from customers

As first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, Bulb, which describes itself as the UK’s fastest-growing retail energy supplier, recently entered the Texas market with a launch in which Bulb said that, "Bulb’s plan is $400 cheaper per year for the average Texan home, compared to the default plans of the largest suppliers."

In the application for the REP certificate amendment, Bulb US LLC also sought to add the trade name "Bulb" to the certificate
