The following story is brought free of charge to readers by EC Infosystems, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
The Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority approved a Settlement Agreement among PURA's Prosecutorial Unit, the Office of Consumer Counsel, and Clearview Electric, Inc. under which Clearview will pay a civil penalty of $9,000 to resolve alleged deficiencies in historical variable rate (HVR) reporting
An earlier Notice of Violation (NOV) had alleged that Clearview failed to timely file a historical variable rate (HVR) report for the months of: September 2015, June 2016, July 2016, September 2017, February 2019, March 2019, and April 2019; and had filed a HVR report which had inconsistent data for the months of: December 2015, June 2018, May 2019, June 2019 and July 2019
Clearview will also implement a quality assurance plan related to HVR filings as part of the settlement
The Settlement Agreement does not represent an admission of concession by the
parties as to the claims, or facts and circumstances surrounding the claims, or
proper disposition of any issue related to the NOV or the Settlement
Agreement.
