Maryland Residential SOS Energy Rate To Decrease 12%

Potomac Edison has filed with the Maryland PSC new SOS rates for residential customers for the period June 1, 2020 through May 31, 2021, and new Type II rates for the period beginning March 1, 2020

The new June 1, 2020 Electric Supply Charge for residential customers, which makes up the majority of the total SOS rate, is decreasing about 12% versus the current rate (in effect through May 2020), and is decreasing about 5% versus the year-ago summer rate

Rates below, in ¢/kWh, reflect only the energy component of SOS, and do not include transmission or reconciliations.
