PUC Discloses Winning Prices From Electricity Default Service Auction

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio has disclosed the winning prices from a procurement of default service electricity supplies at the FirstEnergy Ohio utilities, for a portion of requirements for various delivery terms starting June 1, 2020
The auction procured 16 tranches of supply for the period June 1, 2020 to May 31, 2021 at a clearing price of $38.65 per MWh. There were 6 winning bidders for this delivery term
The auction procured 17 tranches of supply for the period June 1, 2020 to May 31, 2022 at a clearing price of $42.95 per MWh. There were 5 winning bidders for this delivery term
Prices will be blended with results from prior auctions to set the retail default service rate
There were 13 bidders registered for the auction
