Quantum New Energy announced the launch of a, " science-based sustainability platform to optimize energy consumption," called EnerWisely, which will include a retail electricity shopping service

EnerWisely is initially available in Texas’ deregulated electricity areas; however, the company is working on expanding nationally and internationally.

EnerWisely includes as one of its tools Energy MatchMaker, described as, "a fully unbiased smart selection tool for electricity plans."

The shopping service will be free

The company will also offer a personalized energy analysis that displays consumption trends and calculates electricity leaks (Energy FingerPrint). Additionally, it calculates the carbon emissions and recommends actions to offset it. Finally, it can evaluate consumption efficiency.

EnerWisely takes advantage of the existing smart meter infrastructure to access energy consumption data

The service will include:

Monitoring - Get alerted when there’s an important change on your consumption trends or your plan is up for renewal.

Insights - Learn what affects your energy consumption and what you can do to optimize it (such as leak detection).

Recommendations - See personalized recommendations for ways to make smarter electricity decisions, with specific estimated costs and savings. As an example, the service may recommend that, based on the customer's Energy FingerPrint, switching to LED lights could help you save a specific amount of dollars and kWh per year
