Pepco-DC Residential Volumetric SOS Energy Charge Decreasing 9%, Small Commercial Rate Decreasing 5%

Proposes To Lower SOS Admin. Charge For Residential Customers

Pepco has filed with the District of Columbia PSC new SOS electric generation rates for the period of June 1, 2020 through May 31, 2021.

For Schedule R residential customers, the June 1, 2020 volumetric generation rate, including the Admin. charge, is about 9% (or 6 mills per kWh) lower than the current rate

As part of the filing, Pepco proposes a decrease in the Administrative Charge for Residential customers from $0.003 per kWh to $0.0015 per kWh

Comparing seasonal period to period (e.g. summer 2019 to summer 2020), Pepco also proposed a 10 cent decrease in the flat monthly minimum charge for Schedule R residential customers, for both the summer and non-summer periods

For General Service Low Voltage Non-Demand (Schedule GS - ND) customers, the June 1, 2020 SOS generation charge is about 5% (or 3 mills per kWh) below the current charge, including the Admin. charge. There is no change in the GS - ND Admin charge

Pepco proposes a decrease in the Administrative Charge for Large Commercial customers from $0.003 per kWh to $0.002 per kWh, and for Market Price Service from $0.0017751 to $0.000000. The Company is proposing no change to the Administrative Charge for Small Commercial customers

Rates below reflect only the generation charge, and do not include transmission or the bypassable procurement cost adjustment. Note that the rates below are proposed and are reproduced as-filed on February 28, with rates subject to PSC approval
