Pepco Residential Default Service Rate To Increase 25% In October

Pepco, Delmarva Power, and Potomac Edison have all filed updated SOS rates for various customer classes and time periods

Pepco - Md.

Pepco filed new residential and Type I SOS rates for the period October 1, 2020 through May 31, 2021.

All rates in this story reflect only the generation service charge (or equivalent supply charge) and do not include bypassable transmission or reconciliation

For Schedule R residential customers, Pepco's October 1 SOS generation service charge is $0.06516 per kWh, or 25% higher than the forthcoming summer 2020 rate of $0.05180 per kWh (effective June 1, 2020).

For Schedule GS Type I customers, Pepco's October 1 SOS generation service charge is $0.06216 per kWh, or 11% higher than the forthcoming summer 2020 rate of $0.05585 per kWh (effective June 1, 2020).

Pepco also filed new Type II SOS rates for the three-month period beginning June 1, 2020

Delmarva - Md.

Delmarva filed new residential and Type I SOS rates for the period October 1, 2020 through May 31, 2021.

For Schedule R residential customers, Delmarva's October 1 SOS generation service charge is $0.067061 per kWh, or marginally higher than the forthcoming summer 2020 rate of $0.065174 per kWh (effective June 1, 2020).

For Type I Small General Service (SGS-S) customers, Delmarva's October 1 SOS generation service charge is $0.068747 per kWh, or 8% higher than the forthcoming summer 2020 rate of $0.063471 per kWh (effective June 1, 2020).

Delmarva also filed new Type II SOS rates for the three-month period beginning June 1, 2020

Potomac Edison

Potomac Edison filed new SOS rates for Type I customers for the period June 1, 2020 through September 30, 2020, as well as October 1, 2020 through May 31, 2021. Potomac Edison also filed new SOS rates for Type II customers for the three-month period beginning June 1, 2020
