Another New York ESCO Seeks Order Authorizing Green Natural Gas Products
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by EC Infosystems, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
Kiwi Energy NY LLC petitioned the New York PSC for a declaratory ruling that Kiwi Energy’s green natural gas products are permissible energy-related value-added products under the PSC's December 2019 retail market reset order
In the alternative, Kiwi Energy sought a limited waiver authorizing it to continue selling and providing green gas products to current and prospective customers during the pendency of the Commission’s review of green gas products in connection with Track II of the retail market review proceeding.
Information concerning Kiwi Energy's green gas products for which it sought a declaratory order was filed under seal
As previously reported, for natural gas, ESCOs under the reset order are limited to providing mass market customers with a guaranteed savings (versus the utility) plan, or a fixed rate product that is limited in price to a 12-month trailing average utility supply rate plus a 5% premium. The compliance deadline for such product limits has been extended to August 10, 2020
