Residential, Small Commercial Default Service Rates To Fall 23-27% At Massachusetts Utility

NSTAR Electric Company d/b/a Eversource Energy filed with the Massachusetts DPU new basic service rates for its Western Massachusetts service territory (WMA), formerly WMECO, for the period beginning July 1, 2020

All rates below reflect the currently effective Basic Service Adjustments, Renewable Portfolio Standard Adders, Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard Adders, and Clean Energy Standard Adders

The filed new fixed residential basic service rate for the period July through December 2020 is 9.020¢/kWh, which is about 23% lower than the current rate of 11.666¢/kWh

The filed new fixed small C&I basic service rate is 8.619¢/kWh, which is 27% lower than the current rate of 11.791¢/kWh

WMECO rates are below in ¢/kWh, and include the currently effective Basic Service Adjustments, Renewable Portfolio Standard Adders, Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard Adders, and Clean Energy Standard Adders

NextEra Energy Marketing, LLC was selected to serve a portion of WMECO residential and streetlighting basic service load for the periods beginning July 1, 2020 and January 1, 2021
