Nstar East Default Service Rates To Fall Over 20% For Residential, Small Commercial Customers

Nstar has filed with the Massachusetts DPU new electric basic service rates for its Eastern Massachusetts service territory for the period beginning July 1, 2020.

Nstar's July 1, 2020 fixed residential basic service rate is 9.877¢/kWh, which is 21% lower than the current fixed residential basic service rate of 12.517¢/kWh

Nstar's July 1, 2020 fixed small C&I basic service rate is 9.460¢/kWh, which is 21% lower than the current fixed small C&I basic service rate of 12.007¢/kWh

All rates in this story include the Basic Service Adders and Renewable Portfolio Standard, Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard and Clean Energy Standard Adders

Exelon Generation Company, LLC was selected to serve a portion of Nstar East basic service load for the residential, commercial, and the industrial classes for various term lengths.

NextEra Energy Marketing, LLC was selected to serve a portion of Nstar East basic service load for the residential class for various term lengths
