The following story is brought free of charge to readers by EC Infosystems, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com

Commonwealth Edison has filed updated new electric supply rates, known as Purchased Electricity Charges (PECs), for the period beginning June 1, 2020, as well as new bypassable transmission charges (PJM Services Charges, PSC)

The new updates are slightly different than the previously reported amounts filed in late April, reflecting the results of the PJM Financial Transmission Rights (FTR) Auctions finalized May 4, 2020

ComEd said that the new residential price to compare is 6.473 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh), effective June 1, 2020, about 10% lower than the current PTC of 7.175 cents per kWh.

The new PTC is to be in effect through at least September 30; an update effective October 1 is contingent on any fall procurement event.
