The following story is brought free of charge to readers by EC Infosystems, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com

In a declaratory ruling, the New York PSC found, among other things, that the provision (sale) of electricity generated on-site by Greenidge Generation LLC to third-party commercial tenants for data processing at Greenidge's data center site would not be subject to regulation by the Commission

These findings only extend to the limited activities presented in November 2019 and January 2020 petitions from Greenidge

As previously reported, Greenidge Generation LLC, which operates on-site generation and its own data center operations, filed a petition at the New York PSC for a declaratory ruling disclaiming jurisdiction over the company's sale of electricity to data center tenants
