Updated: PURA has rescheduled the meeting to now be held on July 14

The Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority scheduled for June 26, 2020 a technical meeting to, "serve as a starting point for the Authority’s study of Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) in Connecticut[.]"

The technical meeting will help frame the scope and objectives of such study, PURA said

The opening of a new proceeding by the Connecticut PURA to consider a study of opt-out municipal aggregation had been first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com (see story for more details)

PURA said that the purpose of the June 26, 2020 technical meeting is:

1. To determine the primary opportunities Participants wish to bring to the State of Connecticut through enabling CCA policies or programs;

2. To determine any other objectives the Parties’ have for the docket; and

3. To discuss any other topics relevant to determining the scope of the Authority’s study

The technical meeting will take place through remote access

The Authority will hold at least one additional technical meeting to discuss further specifics regarding CCA policies and programs.
