National Grid Files New Default Service Rates

National Grid has filed with the Massachusetts DPU industrial customer basic service electricity rates for the period August 1, 2020 through October 31, 2020

National Grid's filed monthly variable and fixed industrial basic service rates include recovery of estimated Generation Information System (GIS) costs, but do not include the currently-effective Basic Service Administrative Cost Adjustment Factors (BSACFs) and the currently-effective Smart Grid Customer Cost Adjustment Factors (SGCCAFs).

For the fixed rates only, National Grid also filed rates reflecting inclusion of the currently-effective Basic Service Administrative Cost Adjustment Factors (BSACFs) and the currently-effective Smart Grid Customer Cost Adjustment Factors (SGCCAFs).

The proposed basic service rates filed by National Grid do not include an estimate of the costs associated with National Grid’s compliance with the Massachusetts Clean Peak Energy Portfolio Standard, as National Grid said that the regulations have not been officially promulgated and are therefore not final.

The rates remain subject to DPU approval
