Texas Microgrid Developer, Affiliate Of REP Certificate Holder, Names New Chief Technology Officer, Executive Vice President Of Asset Management

Enchanted Rock, LLC, which provides resiliency microgrids and related solutions for commercial, industrial, and institutional customers, announced today the appointment of Ian Blakely as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Enchanted Rock and/or affiliates hold Option II and III Texas retail electric provider certificates
Blakely joined Enchanted Rock in 2015, previously serving as Chief Financial Officer.
Blakely also previously served as Director at Bregal Energy, a private equity fund focused on investing in the North American energy sector. Blakely has also held positions at JPMorgan Partners and Morgan Stanley
In the CTO role, Blakely will oversee the planning, development, and execution of corporate strategy on new technologies and associated products. Blakely will also serve as Executive Vice President of Asset Management, a liaison role working with investors, "to ensure that assets are built, operated, and maintained to achieve the highest long-term value," the company said
Thomas McAndrew, Founder and CEO of Enchanted Rock, said that Blakely's expertise will be instrumental in the company's growth, "as we focus on bolstering our development and technology innovation in decarbonizing electrical resiliency through areas such as battery and process energy storage, renewable energy, renewable natural gas, AI-based asset performance management, load controls, and grid integration."

Most recently, on June 30, 2020, the United States Patent and Trademark Office awarded a patent to Enchanted Rock recognizing the breakthrough in compact and modular genset design," Enchanted Rock said
