Mutual Energy SWEPCO LLC filed to relinquish its Texas retail electric provider certificate

Mutual Energy SWEPCO LLC is a unit of AEP

Mutual Energy SWEPCO LLC was designated to serve as the affiliated REP (serving non-shopping, incumbent customers) in the portion of the WTU territory (later known as AEP Texas North) that, at that time, was located in the Southwest Power Pool. This designation occurred after WTU sold its affiliated REP, originally known as Mutual Energy WTU, LP, and its associated ERCOT customers (and obligation to serve such ERCOT customers as the A-REP)

AEP Texas North later received approval to transfer the portion of its service area located in SPP to SWEPCO. In doing so, the REP customers of Mutual Energy SWEPCO LLC became SWEPCO regulated, bundled customers.

Mutual Energy SWEPCO LLC has not served any customers since ceasing service to the former customers of AEP Texas North that were located in SPP, as a result of the transfer of such SPP service area to SWEPCO, in 2007
